Patapsco State Park has the closest mountain biking trails to downtown. Today I tried riding there from the Inner Harbor. The route departs past the stadiums, winds through residential and industrial neighborhoods, follows a greenway along the river, and then enters the park proper (GPS recording captured the last 2/3 of the ride, but it’s an out-and-back).
A good portion of the park is closed for demolition of the Bloede Dam, and will reopen in summer 2019. I had planned on crossing the river and returning via a northerly route. For now, the pedestrian bridge is closed, so I turned around and returned on the south side of the river. But many fo the mountain bike trails are open, so this route seems like a good way to access the park to explore them.
I tried shooting with the GoPro on the handlebars again. There was more light today. Under the trees, the shutter slows down just enough to let the edges blur.
