This ride explored from Maryland mile 13 to Pennsylvania mile 8. As you ride, the stream is your companion. First on one side, then on the other. It disappears for a few miles when tipping over the divide, only to reappear flowing the other direction.
When the trail crosses into Pennsylvania, the rails appear. They seem to be maintained, though not heavily used. It looks like there’s a tourist train that runs down to York.
Maryland mile zero is in Cockeysville, counting up to 20 or 21. On the Pennsylvania border, the numbering restarts at zero. York is also 21-ish miles north.
The parking spot I used was a bit obscure. There is another that is larger and clearly more heavily used at 520 Bentley Rd, Parkton, MD 21120.
More GoPro images. The battery only lasts about an hour, so these are shot on the outbound leg.
